peanut butter blossoms

normally a holiday cookie, but these are just too good to save for one time of the year.

ingredients:

  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar

  • 1/2 c. brown sugar

  • 1/2 c. peanut butter

  • 1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened

  • 1 egg

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extraxt

  • 1.5 c. all-purpose flour

  • 3/4 tsp. baking soda

  • granulated sugar - to roll dough in

  • 12-16 hershey kisses, unwrapped

directions:

preheat oven to 350. in a bowl, combine sugars, peanut butter, butter, egg and vanilla extract. slowly fold in flour (1/4 c. at a time), followed by baking soda/powder.

scoop 2-2.5 tbsp dough and roll into ball, then roll in granulated sugar. place on baking sheet & repeat process until the remaining dough is gone.

bake for 9 minutes (this is very key), or until slightly golden brown. remove cookies from oven and place a hershey kiss in the center of each. transfer to cookie sheet, allow to cool, then enjoy!
